James "Rock Heart" Johnson was a singer and harp player from Texas who came to work in LA during the immediate postwar years. He recorded four tracks in L.A. on July, 22nd 1952 backed by Maxwell Davis, t-sax; Jeanne Jamerson, pno; Red Callender, bs; Buddy Harper, dms (and possibly harmonica).
