What explains the disparity: discographers avoid letting their ears influence their scholarship, beyond the deafeningly obvious.
ReplyDeleteThis probably is an 8-piece rather than an 11-piece band, but no way is it a 7-piece without a trumpet.
Trombonist was John Orange, known as Bones. Slats was Otis Hicks, who wrote a swinger on the date, Slats' Shuffle.
