Morenita Rey & Daniel Santos With Tito Mendoza - Seeco 7381 (1954)

Found this one in a hardware store located in the Santurce district of San Juan (near the Avocados). Might have passed over it if not for the barely legible secondary title, Santa Baby. Checking the composers on my phone, I saw that that Papacito was indeed the same song made popular by Eartha Kitt.

Here's Argentina born, Morenita Rey seductively rolling her "r"s throughout her version of Santa Baby.

I've had this copy of Santa Baby for years but never spun it as there was never a shortage of airplay during the holidays.

Recently finding it, and the Holidays looming, I gave it a spin...to my surprise, it is probably the cleanest looking and sounding record I own.

Wish I had a deed to a Plat-I-Num mine!

By the way...Eartha was born a little bit south of North Carolina in North, South Carolina.
